Often compared to an interactive game of chess mixed with a boxing match, Foosball is loved by all, but few have grown to be fanatical enough to put their skills to the test, traveling to national and international tournaments playing against some of the fierce-est competitors in the world, have no doubt, Foosball can become an extremely addictive hobby especially when you start to be able to control the ball and have a shooting strategy, let alone the social aspect.
We are proud to share a Foosball setup worthy of the same experience you would find in the professional tournament circuit. This means official competition table football machines accredited from the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF), the official balls for the GARLANDO World Champion, overhead lighting, straight and smooth player rods and a level playfield. We have decorated the space with the posters of each ITSF World Cup tournament since its inception and most importantly videos on our screens of the best players in the World competing for the title of Champion so you can learn all their tricks and power shots!
A GAME WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE MUCH MORE…
In 2006 Founder J-P Thompson made the fateful decision to organise the first Great-Britain National Team from the British Foosball Association (BFA) to travel and participate in an ITSF BONZINI World Championship in Eubonne (France). The experience of walking into a sports stadium with 100 table footballs and over 500 participants from countless different counties for a 4 days tournament would change his life forever.
Absolutely mesmerised by the entire experience J-P set out to recreate the same experience at a local level by organising regular tournaments at Café KICK and Bar KICK under the form of the KICK BABY FOOT ASSOCIATION with the gracious support of the owner Gareth Kerr. After years of organising tournaments and promoting foosball events J-P quit is office job as a business analyst and set up London Table Football Ltd and curated the London Table Football Championship (LTFC) which would take place in multiple venues across the capital on different official competition tables apart from BONZINI.
LTFC became hugely successful over the years thanks to professional event organiser ethics, a cumulative point leader board, after glow pictures of the tournament, finals video and of course gold, silver and bronze medals for the top 3 teams.
As time went by and it became more difficult for J-P to secure venues to organise tournaments and hold a proper championship. So, he decided to diversify into multi game retro arcades and rentals and converted into an operator and setup the London Games Room Ltd.
Foosball Club is J-P’s latest iteration of sharing his passion for pro foosball to the all the fans who love the game but never had the opportunity to play it in such a setting to make the best out of their skills.
